Inspired by the Costume Institute’s Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibit, this year’s Met Gala was something like a celebrity Project Runway challenge, leaving more than a few stars scrambling — and failing — to dress the part.

Amid the sea of spikes, heavy eye makeup, and black nail polish, Nina Dobrev stood out in a look that was sexy, chic, and just the right amount of punk. How did she do it? Stylist Ilaria Urbinati, who has worked with the Vampire Diaries star since the 2011 Emmys, gave EW all the details.

Fashion Face-Off: Kim Kardashian vs. Robin Williams' Mrs. Doubtfire

Yesterday, the fashion press did their best to describe the gloved Ricardo Tisci for Givenchy gown that Kim Kardashian wore to the Met Gala.

And just as the fashion backlash seemed to be dying down, Robin Williams tweeted the ultimate sartorial zinger. READ FULL STORY »

Think you could pull off one of the designer dresses from last night’s Met Gala? Here’s your chance.

Today, luxury e-tailer Moda Operandi — a major sponsor of this year’s Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibit — launched a special trunkshow of 14 of the most wearable (though not so much affordable) looks as seen on the red carpet. The good news: Each style is available in a variety of sizes, so you don’t have to be a 00 to shop. The bad news: This is a pre-sale, which means no markdowns. So if you’re dying to have Kate Bosworth’s flashy pink party dress, get ready to pony up $26,000.

Read on to find out which Met Gala dresses are up for grabs. READ FULL STORY »
