'Parks and Recreation' star Amy Poehler stars in hilarious new Old Navy commercials -- VIDEO

It’s safe to say that comic genius Amy Poehler has made almost everything under the sun seem cool, from waffles to government to world news. So it comes as no surprise that in her latest gig, headlining a series of Old Navy commercials, Poehler is making something as mundane as pants downright awesome — and hilarious.

We’ve only seen one of these commercials so far, but judging from the 30 second spot below — where Poehler obsesses over a potential employee’s pants during a job interview — it’s safe to say we can expect to laugh a lot more as the rest of these spots unveil themselves. And if that’s not enough, there’s also an outtake video that showcases the Parks and Recreation star at her best, causing us to realize that if we ever had to be in her presence we would probably be ruining take after take. (Notable gem: “Would it be weird if I bought the same ones? And we wore them on the same day? And we went to the beach together? Don’t answer that question.”)

Come on, admit it — now you wish there was an episode where Leslie makes Ann try on all sorts of Old Navy pants and gives her BFF opinion on them. (Maybe she’ll just go to Ann’s house and make her new baby try on clothes from the Old Navy kids line instead.)

Check out both the commercial spot and outtakes below: READ FULL STORY

The Swanson Pyramid of Greatness is legendary (and still decorates offices and cubicles at EW). But there’s something in every episode of NBC’s Parks and Recreation that catches the eye and tickles the funny bone. That’s why we asked the show’s property master, Gay Perello, for the stories behind her five favorite pieces of 2012. As Seen on TV Fashion Face-Off: The owls have it!

Owl-Shirt.jpg

It’s always fun when art imitates life—or at least when your real-life wardrobe matches that of your favorite TV character.

When Ann Perkins (Rashida Jones) donned a button-down owl blouse from Anthropologie on the season 5 premiere of Parks and Recreation in September, I recognized it immediately; My co-worker Andrea Adams has sported that exact avian-inspired shirt around the office.

On last night’s Halloween episode of Suburgatory, Lisa Shay (Allie Grant) turned up in the exact same top, so I texted Andrea with the obligatory “She’s wearing your shirt!” About an hour later, I had to ammend that text to include Joanna De La Vega (Annie Ilonzeh) from Arrow. “I promise I’m not making this up, but she’s wearing your shirt too!”

The owl-print Hanalei shirt is no longer available, but at least it got its fifteen minutes of fame. So, who wore it best? READ FULL STORY
