Heidi Klum told us that in fashion, one day you’re in and the next day you’re out. In John Galliano’s case, he was in, he was out, and now it seems, he’s back in the game. Fellow designer Oscar de la Renta has invited Galliano to take up residence in his New York design studio for a few weeks, according to a report by Women’s Wear Daily.
Things went downhill for the famed designer in late 2010 and early 2011, when he made a series of anti-Semitic rants in a Paris bar, one of which resulted in his arrest, and the other which was captured on video and posted online. Galliano was fired from Christian Dior, impersonated by Taran Killam, and scolded by Natalie Portman (a celebrity spokesperson for Dior). We’ve heard very little from the disgraced designer since his very quick and public downfall.
