Last night, the biggest names in music walked the blue carpet at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.
Channeling the spirit of Sin City, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez wore lots of sequins, while Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez experimented with out-the-box designs, and Nicki Minaj went for full-out sexy.

In keeping with this year’s Met Costume Institute exhibit theme – Punk: Chaos to Couture – guests at the annual Met Gala called on their designer pals and stylists edge up their looks for the red carpet, and the results were a mixed bag.
While some attendees punked out of the challenge, the ones who went there, went there. From Sarah Jessica Parker’s mohawk topper to Miley Cyrus’ mesh dress, see the stars who stayed on theme and vote for your favorite. READ FULL STORY »

It’s pretty obvious that Miley Cyrus was not feeling shy when she posed for photographer Mario Testino for the cover story — titled “The Emancipation of Miley” — in the latest issue of V magazine.
Wearing lots of leather and spikes, Cyrus flashes parts of her bare back, buttocks and breasts. “The Emancipation of Miley” indeed.
Except… this isn’t the first time the former Disney princess has gone nearly nude for a controversial photo shoot. READ FULL STORY »

Judging from the response to last week’s poll, there are quite a few fashion critics in the PopStyle audience, so we’re going to make YOU Grade the Looks a weekly feature.
This week we spotted Kim Kardashian in maternity feathers, Miley Cyrus’ Fashion Week romper, Beyoncé’s nearly nude gown, Bradley Cooper in a very shiny suit, JLo’s attempt to mix prints and more head-turning celebrity red carpet fashion.
Who pulled it off and who should have thought twice before walking out the door? You decide.

Adam Lambert proved that dudes can be divas too on last night’s VH1 Divas Live. Acting as the evening’s host, Lambert — and wearing plenty of guyliner — welcomed Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, Jordin Sparks and more performers to the stage.
But when it came to diva style, Miley Cyrus stole the show. After walking the red carpet in a cut-out Omo by Norma Kamali turtleneck dress, Cyrus changed into a stomach-bearing studded crop top and leather pants to perform a crotch-grabbing cover of Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell.” The pop tart’s bad ass performance included a dramatic stage dive, but luckily no one was impaled by her shoulder spikes.

The more they change, the more they’re starting look the same. Sort of.
Miley Cyrus has been developing a sartorial edge lately, while Rihanna seems to have softened up a bit. Is it just me, or did the ladies swap signature looks?
More importantly, who had the fiercest VMA outfit?
As Cyrus walked the red carpet in her extremely low-cut Emilio Pucci gown, I almost had an anxiety attack worrying that her double-stick tape wouldn’t hold. Accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and with her newly-cropped hair fashioned into a faux-hawk, she managed to avoid a major wardrobe malfunction.
Rihanna’s clingy, backless, draped jersey dress caused a little agita too, but she’s been wearing these kind of dangerous ensembles on the red carpet for a while, so I wasn’t as concerned. (It’s rumored that RiRi wants Michelle Pfeiffer’s role in the remake of the movie Scarface, and judging from some of the singer’s recent red carpet appearances — I give you Exhibit A, Exhibit B and Exhibit C — she’s already dressing the part.)
And now I put it to you: Whose look did you like best? Cast your vote in the poll below.
