Miley Cyrus to wear Roberto Cavalli, Marc Jacobs, Bob Mackie on 'Bangerz' tour

Miley Cyrus enjoys finding new ways to get naked, so it’s hardly surprising that the costumes for her upcoming Bangerz tour are long on sex appeal and short on fabric.

Earlier today Italian designer Roberto Cavalli released sketches of six looks created for the 21 year-old singer to wear on stage. The most provocative ensemble is a stretch silk tulle Swarovski crystal spattered jumpsuit (above) that creates a “nude effect on the body.” Other items include a black zebra-pattern jumpsuit, an overwashed denim bra embroidered with studs and crystals, and a python-print jacket with matching short shorts.

In addition to the Cavalli costumes, Cyrus will wear outfits by designers Marc JacobsThe Blonds, and Jeremy Scott — as well as pieces from the archives of Cher’s go-to designer Bob Mackie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, each designer was assigned a specific section of the Bangerz show. “Clothes for me, or lack thereof, say a lot,” Cyrus recently joked.

Miley Cyrus is the face of designer Marc Jacobs' spring line

Miley Cyrus has signed on to be the face of designer Marc Jacobs’ eponymous fashion line.

On Wednesday, Jacobs confirmed via Twitter that Cyrus stars in his spring ad campaign. “Secret’s out, @MileyCyrus stars in the MJ SS14 Campaign shot by David Sims!” the designer tweeted.

Cyrus and Jacobs have known each other for years. In 2013, the pop singer wore some memorable looks by the designer — including a black mesh gown she wore to the annual Met gala last May — and posed naked for a charity T-shirt that was part of Jacobs’ “Protect the Skin You’re In” campaign. She was even on hand — and fully clothed — to present him with the Superstar Award at the FGI Awards in New York City.

In an interview with Hunger TV last October, Cyrus credited Jacobs with introducing her to the world of fashion when she was a young Disney star. “He kind of brought me into fashion like when I was 16, that was when I started being around him and learning from him,” she explained. “He kind of let me inspire some of his pieces.”

Miley Cyrus gets (and stays) dressed up to honor designer Marc Jacobs

The dress Miley Cyrus wore to last night’s Fashion Group International Awards in New York City was shocking, but not for the reason you’d think.

Just when we’d (almost) gotten used to seeing Cyrus make public appearance in various states of undress — wearing the top half of a suit to the 2012 Billboard Awards, hot pants for a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and a latex bikini and foam finger at this year’s VMAs — the pop star showed up to the annual FGI Awards fully clothed.

On hand to present Marc Jacobs — she posed naked for the designer’s charity T-shirt earlier this year — with the Superstar Award, Cyrus wore a full-length dress that concealed all of her lady parts. Sure, it was backless, but it was still the most covered-up we’ve seen her since she killed off Hannah Montana. Cyrus paired the sequined Marc Jacobs sheath with Saint Laurent heels and subtle jewelry from Lorraine Schwartz. The only “Look at me!” element of her ensemble? Fire engine red nail polish.

Do you like Miley’s look, or would you rather have seen her show up wearing a g-string and pasties? Cast your vote after the jump.  READ FULL STORY

Fashion Week: Harry Styles' rumored model girlfriend steals the show at Marc Jacobs

While most models are merely anonymous vehicles used to get the clothes down the runway, thanks to a rumored romance with One Direction’s Harry Styles and sightings with famous friends like Rihanna, catwalker Cara Delevingne really made a name for herself during Fashion Week.

Since she was spotted on a date with One Direction’s Harry Styles last week — the pair took in a performance of The Book of Mormon in London’s West End — Delevingne has become a person of interest to many outside of the fashion industry. Already considered a fashion It girl — she’s fronted ad campaigns for brands like Burberry, H&M, and Chanel — the 21-year-old British model stole the show at designer Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2014 presentation, held last night in New York City. One of the last models to arrive, Delevingne was whisked backstage where all eyes, several cameras and a video crew were on her as she was prepped by the hair and makeup teams. A short time later, organizers cleared the area so that she and the other models could get dressed for the show, always one of the most anticipated events at New York Fashion Week.

Hitting the runway in a fringe embellished sweatshirt, sequined pants, blue moccasin boots, and a cropped blonde wig, Delevingne blended into the gaggle of models — which also included Georgia Jagger, daughter of Rolling Stone frontman Mick Jagger — but if her relationship with Styles lasts, the model will have to get used to the extra attention.

“What I find hard is having to deal with all the people and all the c**p. It’s when the press and fans are following me most, and it’s when I work the hardest, so it’s kind of like, f***,” Delevingne recently told Industrie magazine of the pressures of walking in fashion week shows around the globe.  READ FULL STORY

Miley Cyrus Undressed: The naked T-shirt and more pantsless moments

Miley Cyrus has no problem showing skin, so it was only a matter of time before the 20-year-old showed us the full monty.

The “We Can’t Stop” singer posed naked for a new T-shirt from designer Marc Jacobs’ “Protect the Skin You’re In” campaign, which hit shelves today. Sales of the $35 cotton shirt — available at nine Marc Jacobs boutiques around the country — benefit the NYU Cancer Institute and NYU Langone Medical Center. Earlier today, Cyrus tweeted a photo of the design along with the message; “Check out my @MarcJacobsIntl #ProtectTheSkinYoureIn tee❤❤❤We gonna save alot of lives #marcfam.”

This is the first time she’s dared to go completely bare, but Cyrus has previously exhibited a fondness for going pantsless on the red carpet, at magazine and video shoots, and even in her everyday life. Click on to see Miley’s best naked-from-the-waist-down fashion moments.

Designer Marc Jacobs talks about his film debut in 'Disconnect' -- EW EXCLUSIVE PHOTO

In Marc Jacobs’ world, sporting a pair of bad dad jeans is more shocking to his staff than a sequin bra. But in Disconnect, Jacobs’ film and acting debut, the famed designer was at the disposal of the costume team and the story.

Jacobs told EW: “I was going to a cabaret inspired Halloween party. I did it as one of the cabaret girls with shorts and a sequin beaded bra and dance shoes and stockings and a top hat and all this glitter, and I came out in that in my fitting room among my design team and no one thought anything of me in a bra and a panty with glitter on the crotch. But then when they had the fittings for the movie, when they saw me, my design team was all in hysterics. I had these really tacky suburban disco shirts with crucifixes embroidered on them, and the worst fitting dad jeans – I never wear jeans anyway – but these were just bad and acid washed with flannel zip jackets sewn to the side. And they put big silver rings on my fingers and earrings. So they just couldn’t stop laughing.”

“Nobody would have recognized me at the Dunkin’ Donuts in Yonkers in my acid washed jean jacket with a hoodie attached and my dad jeans,” he added.
