Hairstylist Mark Townsend on how Jennifer Lawrence's hair has changed (but she hasn't)

Oscar Sunday was a big day for Jennifer Lawrence, but it was also a big day for her hairstylist, Mark Townsend. The hair guru has been styling the actress’ locks for years — even before she worked the awards season red carpet for 2010’s Winter’s Bone — and just as Lawrence has evolved from a small screen supporting actress into an Oscar-winning leading lady, Townsend says her hair has come a long way in a short time.

At an event promoting Dove hair care products (Townsend works for the brand) in New York City last week, EW chatted up the celebrity stylist to get the inside scoop on how Lawrence has stayed true to her, ahem, roots, his own Hollywood big break, and how he manages the “hair politics” that come with having a bevy of star clients.

“The best thing with Jennifer is she’s kind of grown into herself,” Townsend said. “She’s got so much hair, it’s easy for me to go hyper-glam. But she [personally] favors a natural, softer look. She really shined through this whole awards season because she was comfortable and doing what she wants to do. She is such a dream collaborator.”

And, apparently, a messy eater.  READ FULL STORY

SAG Awards Fashion Face-Off: Lea Michele vs. Nina Dobrev -- POLL

After pale colors and bright colors dominated the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards, many actresses went back to black for last night’s SAG Awards. Still, a few women brightened things up in neon frocks.

Since Freida Pinto already made our best dressed list in fuchsia Roland Mouret, we’ll let The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev and Glee’s Lea Michele battle it out for the title of Prettiest in Pink.

“So excited to be wearing the amazing Valentino,” Michele tweeted of her strapless flare-hemmed gown, from the label’s Resort 2013 collection.

Dobrev’s cherry gown by Elie Saab featured subtle lace cutouts and a simple monochromatic belt.

Golden Globes Red Carpet Fashion Face-Off: Heidi Klum vs. Lea Michele -- POLL

Though the color red was the hot hue of the night, many leading ladies opted to wear white to last night’s Golden Globe Awards.

Heidi Klum and Lea Michele both chose white gowns with thigh-high slits — stay tuned for our thoughts on “The Angelina Effect” — and sweeping trains.

Klum turned to her go-to designers to create her ensemble, pairing a one-sleeved Alexandre Vauthier dress with Christian Louboutin “Un Bout” pumps and jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz.

Despite an overly orange spray tan, Glee star Michele sparkled in an embellished halter gown by designer Elie Saab.

'Glee' gets a new costume designer, Rachel and Kurt get new looks for season 4

Elizabeth Martucci has taken over the Glee wardrobe department. After two years of assisting Lou Eyrich — who is now creating nun habits and 1960s separates for season two of American Horror Story — the costume designer stepped into the lead role just in time to give Rachel and Kurt their New York City makeovers. EW caught up with Martucci to find out how she’s taking the duo’s looks in a new direction, where she finds fashion inspiration and what it’s like to shop for a living.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Did Lea Michele and Chris Colfer have input on how their character’s style would change once they moved to New York City?
ELIZABETH MARTUCCI: I always enjoy hearing the actors’ thoughts, it’s a collaboration. I’ve been with the show since the second season, so we’re not starting fresh. We have relationships and there’s already trust there.
