We’re not even halfway through 2013, but that didn’t stop the UK edition of Glamour magazine from putting out its list of the most fashionable stars of the year, and Kristen Stewart takes the top spot for the second year in a row.

Red carpet purists may not approve of Stewart’s affinity for wearing see-though clothing or pairing designer gowns with Converse sneakers, but Glamour praises the actress for her “personal rock-chick style,” awarding her the top spot over stars like Emma Watson, Taylor Swift, and even Britain’s future queen, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton).

Who else made the list? Read on to find out.  READ FULL STORY »

Snow White Fashion Face-Off: Kristen Stewart vs. Lily Collins -- POLL

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the best dressed Snow White of all? We won’t know for sure until the Academy Awards are handed out on Feb 24.

Both Snow White and the Huntsman and Mirror Mirror scored nominations in the Costume Design category.

Three-time Oscar winner Colleen Atwood created over 2,000 costumes for the cast of Snow White and the Huntsman, including the earth-toned peasant dress and suit of armor worn by Kristen Stewart’s warrior princess Snow.

Lily Collins channeled the traditional fairy tale version of the character in Mirror Mirror, wearing ornately embroidered gowns by the late Eiko Ishioka, who won an Academy Award for her work on Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula.

Fashion Face-Off: Who was the best dressed red carpet couple of 2012? -- POLL

While the relationship of Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield generated far fewer headlines than that of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in 2012, the celebrity couple next door certainly gave the Twilight twosome a run for their money when it came to red carpet style.

Both women scored spots on Vogue‘s 2012 Best Dressed list, while their respective leading men showed they weren’t afraid to wear color.

At the Paris premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man, Garfield’s Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière suit matched Stone’s very berry lip color. (All together now: ”awww.”)

Meanwhile in Hollywood, KStew (in a totally see-through gown by designer Zuhair Murad) and RPatz (in a green Gucci suit he helped design) were smoking hot when they delivered the final installment in The Twilight Saga series.

Kristen Stewart really, really likes to wear see-through clothing -- PHOTOS

Kristen Stewart works hard to conceal her private life, but when it comes to dressing for the red carpet, it seems she’s got no problem with transparency.

At last night’s New York City premiere of On the Road, the actress wore a look –a sheer embroidered sheath over a retro bra and hot pants — from Erdem’s Spring 2013 collection. The ensemble was the latest in a string of revealing outfits worn by the actress in the last few months. Why has Stewart embraced peek-a-boo fashion?

“One of the things that I love about her is that she is willing to take a risk,” stylist Tara Swennen — who has worked with Stewart since 2007 — told The Cut during a recent interview. “As a stylist, that is one of the best things you can ask for. She’s not afraid of prints and sheerness and textures.”

Though she’s nudged Stewart into trying new things, Swennen has resigned herself to the fact that the actress won’t wear earrings (because her ears aren’t pierced), avoids carrying a purse on the red carpet so that her hands are free to sign autographs for fans, and will never spend the whole night in heels.

“She’ll always change into her Converse by halfway through a carpet, which is to be expected at this point, but she puts on the heels for me for the photos, God bless her.”

Kristen Stewart and Ashley Greene have given new meaning to the phrase red carpet vamping as they promote The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2, so it’s not surprising that both ladies have worked the sheer trend in recent days.

At the London premiere of the final Twilight installment, Stewart posed confidently in a jaw-dropping sequined peek-a-boo jumpsuit by designer Zuhair Murad. Meanwhile, at the CFDA/Fogue Fashion Fund Awards in New York City, Greene paired pencil leg trousers with a lacy, bell-sleeved top by designer Wes Gordon.
