Cannes: Justin Timberlake's slick new hairstyle (and why he'll soon go back to his curly roots)

Justin Timberlake has come a long way from his boy band beginnings… and so has his hair.

JT reminded us just how much his look has evolved when he made an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival to promote his newest movie project. The “Suit & Tie” singer slicked his hair back into a Mad Men-style baby pompadour before taking the stage to talk about Spinning Gold, a biopic in which he’ll play legendary ’70s record executive Neil Bogart. Although Timberlake’s current coif is totally 2013, if the Spinning Gold promo poster is any indication, he’ll be going back to his naturally curly roots to play the role.

Super Bowl Style: Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake and more

Hours before Beyoncé’s highly anticipated Super Bowl performance, designer Rubin Singer revealed that he created a special design she’d wear on stage.

“A Super Style happening behind this walls,” Singer, who has had a five-year designing relationship with the pop star, Tweeted. “Tonight @SuperBowl will be all about team @Beyonce and team @RubinSinger.”

Come showtime, football fans at the New Orleans Superdome went wild as the self-proclaimed “Diva” dramatically popped the collar on her motorcycle jacket and sauntered to center stage in Rubin Singer leather and lace bodysuit and Proenza Schouler boots to the opening swells of “Crazy in Love.”

By the time she finished her complete set, #BeyonceBowl” was trending and Twitter was flooded with commentary on the pop star’s high-energy performance and racy look. “Beyonce’s outfit for Wimbledon. But in white? Hummmmmmm,” Serena Williams mused on her  Twitter page (PopStyle vote: notsomuch). ”Yes, B. Yes. Roasted that… #KINGBEY,” Tweeted “Suit & Tie” crooner Justin Timberlake. Jay-Z summed up his wife’s performance with the proud  Tweet: ”Lights out!!! Any questions??”

After leaving Gucci in 2004, designer Tom Ford focused on building his own fashion brand and conquering Hollywood. Now that he’s made his filmmaking debut (he wrote, produced and directed 2009′s A Single Man), become the official tailor of Daniel Craig’s James Bond, and counts leading men like Bradley Cooper among his most loyal customers it seems that Ford has set his sights on the music industry.

In an email sent by his public relations team this morning, Ford announced the details of his sartorial contribution to the album artwork and first video from Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience.   READ FULL STORY »

Tom Ford Fashion Face-Off: Justin Timberlake vs. Bradley Cooper -- POLL

timberlake-cooper

Image Credit: Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images; Jeff Vespa/WireImage

Designer Tom Ford had a big night at the 2013 SAG Awards, dressing both nominee Bradley Cooper and presenter Justin Timberlake for the occasion.

Timberlake wore a brown and fawn wool silk linen hopsack damier O’Connor suit with a gingham shirt, silk pocket square and silk jacquard tie. The jacket and pants looked a little snug, but many leading men seem to be wearing suits tailored to within an inch of their lives lately.

Cooper went a little more traditional, choosing Ford’s navy blue O’Connor tuxedo, evening shirt, silk tie and leather shoes. The actor complained that his hand-tied bow tie wouldn’t stay straight, but I think it add a quirky charm to his formal ensemble.

Who wore Tom Ford best? Cast your vote in the poll below.  READ FULL STORY »
