Inauguration 2013: What everyone wore

When First Lady Michelle Obama sashayed onto the dance floor with the Commander-in-Chief at last night’s Inaugural Ball, she commanded most of the attention, at least for style watchers.

After much speculation, CNN reports that Mrs. O reportedly chose the ruby colored chiffon and velvet gown by Jason Wu — the same designer she wore for her first dance as First Lady at the Inauguration in 2009 — from a selection of 15 designer dresses. Wu Tweeted  that he was “in shock.”

Now that the inaugural festivities are over, FLOTUS’ outfit and accompanying accessories — which included Jimmy Choo heels, Kimberly McDonald for Forevermark diamond bangles set in 18K gold as well as a diamond embellished ring by the jewelry designer —  will be preserved at the National Archives.

Thanks to all of the celebrity guests, there were plenty more headline-making outfits in DC this weekend. Click on to see what Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Katy Perry, Matt Bomer, Ke$ha and more stars wore to celebrate the President’s second term. SEE THE PHOTOS
