Hollywood for Sale: Buy a diamond made from 'True Blood' star Ryan Kwanten's hair

A  lock of Justin Beiber’s hair once sold at auction for $40,668, but if you place the winning bid on a clipping from Ryan Kwanten’s mane, you also get a diamond necklace.

The actor, who plays Bon Temp resident Jason Stackhouse on True Blood, donated a lock of his hair to jewelry company SKY and LIVI to create a blue diamond pendant that will be auctioned off to raise funds for cancer awareness. The gem, which was created using a technique that translates the carbon signature of a person’s hair into a lab-grown diamond, is set in an 18K white gold pendant and has been valued at $16, 000.  READ FULL STORY

Star audition tapes off the block, memorabilia from 'Star Trek,' 'Superman' and more still to be auctioned

More than 50 VHS tapes of auditions by the likes of Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Julianne Moore will no longer be up for bids during the Julien’s Auctions “Hollywood Legends” sale.

The auction house pulled the tapes and issued a statement after complaints were received from actors’ union SAG-AFTRA — which declared that “auditions are not public performances” — and the Casting Society of America.

Even without the tapes, Julien’s still has hundreds of lots that include costumes, props and other Hollywood memorabilia, and the auction will be held as planned from April 5-6.

Click through the gallery to see some of the big ticket items — some of which are estimated to fetch upwards of $60,000-$80,000 — up for grabs.  READ FULL STORY
