Nobody does Halloween like Heidi Klum!

This year, the Project Runway star will host her 13th annual Halloween bash, and she’s put in some major prep time to come up with a costume that will top her past ensembles. In previous years, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel has stayed away from sexy costumes — see her as a skinless corpse in 2011 and an alien transformer in 2010 — but now that she won’t be coordinating her look with Seal, the single lady has decided to channel her inner goddess.

A video posted to Klum’s AOL channel shows the months-long process that takes the idea from the initial sketch stage to the finished red carpet-ready costume. The first step is a meeting with designer Martin Izquierdo to discuss the concept — Cleopatra. After Izquidero asks what direction she wants to take, Klum sums it up in three words; “Big, gold, glittery!”

Sesame Workshop sends cease and desist to website selling Sexy Big Bird costume

Sexy-Big-Bird.jpg

Sesame Workshop isn’t having a particularly sunny day. The company behind Sesame Street has discovered that a website is selling unlicensed, “sexy” Halloween costumes clearly based on its kid-friendly characters — and it’s biting back with a cease and desist letter.

As a Sesame Workshop rep tells EW, “The costumes are not licensed or authorized by Sesame Workshop. We are working with our legal team to have the costumes removed from the market.”

One of the costumes in question — on sale at Yandy.com — can be seen above. The site is skirting the legal line by calling this getup “Exclusive Yellow Dress and Stockings;” the model is also wearing a licensed Big Bird headband, which is sold separately. And Big Bird is far from the only Sesame Street character who’s gotten a sexified, unlicensed makeover from Yandy — click around, and you’ll also find Sexy Cookie Monster (or “Faux Fur and Mesh Blue Dress Set”), Sexy Elmo (“Furry Red Romper”), and Sexy Oscar the Grouch (“Sexy Trash Monster”).

Thanks to an offhand remark by Mitt Romney in the first presidential debate, Sesame Workshop has had a busy fall. The company last made headlines by denouncing an Obama campaign ad that featured Big Bird, saying, “Sesame Workshop is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns. We have approved no campaign ads, and as is our general practice, have requested that the ad be taken down.”
