Trish Summerville really kicked up the Capitol’s style quotient when she was hired to design the costumes for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Fashion may be an ugly business in Panem, but the Hunger Games inspired clothing line that Summerville created for Net-A-Porter is all splendor.

The Capitol Couture line includes everything from a laser-cut patent leather dress to a silver bow-and-arrow ear cuff, but there’s also something for the Hunger Games fan who hits the gym like her life depends on it. READ FULL STORY

Not only do they create good movies and gorgeous children, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie also make award-winning wine.

This year, Brangelina got into the winemaking business with the release of Jolie-Pitt & Perrin Côtes de Provence Rosé Miraval 2012, made from grapes grown on their estate in Southern France. The bottling ranked No.84 overall on Wine Spectator‘s Top 100 list of the best wines of the year, taking the top spot among rosés.

Considering the fact that I gave Duck Commander’s Triple Threat Red Blend — brought to you by the Robertson family of Duck Dynasty fame — the thumbs up because it’s “drinkable,” I’ll borrow Wine Spectator editor Kim Marcus’ description of the Jolie-Pitt rosé.  READ FULL STORY

Each episode of Watch What Happens Live is fueled by cocktails, silly games, and appearances by Bravo-lebrities and A-list guests like Lady Gaga, Oprah, and Cher. Tickets to the show, which takes place in a small studio in Soho known as the Bravo Clubhouse, are notoriously difficult to come by.

Now’s your chance to be a member of the WWHL studio audience and contribute to one of Cohen’s favorite causes. READ FULL STORY

They’ve become one of the most popular families on TV — A&E’s Duck Dynasty pulls in millions of TV viewers each week — now the Robertson family is burning up the music charts.

After debuting at #2 on Billboard’s list of best-selling holiday albums last month, Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas unseated Kelly Clarkson’s Wrapped in Red to land at #1, where it stayed for four weeks. Clarkson regained the top spot last week, but Duck the Halls is sitting pretty at #2 on the holiday charts, holds the same position on the country charts, and is currently #5 on the Billboard 200, just behind Britney Spears’ Britney Jean.

With songs like “Rajin’ Cajun Redneck Christmas,” “Hairy Christmas,” and “Duck the Halls,” is it any surprise that the Robertsons have one of the biggest albums of the season?  READ FULL STORY

I have mixed feelings about NBC’s plans to revive Murder, She Wrote.

On one hand, I am a big fan of Octavia Spencer, who has been cast in the lead role. On the other, I am a huge Fletcher fan, so even though the new series will only be loosely based on the original, I don’t like the idea of someone messing with perfection. (Apparently, neither does Angela Lansbury.) READ FULL STORY

In the past, not everyone has been thrilled to be the recipient of one of my “as seen on TV” Christmas gifts. (My dad was less than appreciative the year I put a can of spray-on hair in his stocking.) But the ABC reality pitch show Shark Tank has taken “as seen on TV” products to a whole new level.

Case in point — the DoorBot, a WiFi-enabled doorbell that lets you to stream live video of who’s at your front door and talk to them in real time via a smartphone app. And you don’t even have to be at home to do it.   READ FULL STORY
