MTV Movie Awards: Which style stunt was your favorite? -- POLL

While I love a good designer red carpet moment, MTV’s various awards shows always include at least a few bizarre fashion statements that make things really interesting. And last week’s MTV Movie Awards upheld this fine tradition, gifting us with a few head scratching style moments.

Rapper Macklemore hit the carpet wearing a a cobalt suit — paired with a fringed Elvis cape — that was actually tailored to perfection. All the better for ensuring his safe landing when he jumped on the stage.

The U.S. Surgeon General wouldn’t approve of Pitch Perfect star Hana Mae Lee’s cigarette butt hat, created by Alain Lafaille for He-Ha. Or would she? “I’m not promoting smoking or not smoking at all, it’s just a fun sculpture on the head,” Lee declared.

Will Ferrell was so money in his three-piece currency suit, even though it was less about the Benjamins and more about the Washingtons and Lincolns. But the $5 and  $10 bill-print on the funnyman’s suit didn’t stop him from walking on stage to accept the Comedic Genius Award to the strains of rapper Pusha T’s single “Millions.”

'American Idol' Fashion Face-Off: Which diva was best dressed? -- POLL

On Wednesday night, the all-female final five American Idol contestants gave us plenty of attitude during The Diva battle. Whose look hit the biggest high note?

Candice Glover belted a powerhouse version the Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston’s hit When You Believe” in an Ashley Stewart top, Source of Wisdom jeans, BCBG necklace and Ashley Stewart jewelry.

Angie Miller wore an edgy chain dress by Stars for the Fashion House –which she paired with Hades heels from Gothicplus.com — for her performance of Beyoncé’s “Halo.”

For her rendition of Barbra Streisand’s “What Are You Doing With the Rest of Your Life,” Amber Holcomb kept it classic in a black-and-white strapless dress by Michelle Mason, which she accessorized with a Fenton necklace, Fallon earrings and an orchestra.

Kree Harrison wore a little black dress by Alice & Olivia when she performed Celine Dion’s “Have You Ever Been in Love,” earning high praise from judge Mariah Carey, who called the look “diva-licious.”

Janelle Arthur dressed the part to sing Dolly Parton’s “Dumb Blond,” taking the stage in a boho top from Zara and a metallic skirt from Haute Hippie.

MTV Movie Awards Fashion: Who was the best dressed young star? -- POLL

Somewhere in between Quvenzhane Wallis‘ oh-so-cute kitty purse and Zoe Saldana‘s super-sexy thigh-high slit, young stars like Selena Gomez, Emma Watson and Chloe Moretz managed to walk the blurry line between little girl and all-grown-up when they walked the red carpet at last night’s MTV Movie Awards.

Gomez had the Midas touch in a gold fringed Julien Macdonald mini dress and Jimmy Choo peep toe platforms.

Watson was a red carpet trailblazer in a Maxime Simoens dress, Proenza Schouler cut-out booties.

Moretz kept her look young and fun with a patchwork denim dress from Louis Vuitton and bow-accented Jimmy Choo pumps.

Last night marked the first of Bravo’s three-part Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, and it didn’t take long for the claws — or the accessories — to come out! Kenya punctuated her every sentence with the flourish of a silk fan, Kandi and NeNe let their enormous engagement rings do most of the talking, and Cynthia gave us a whole lot of front boob.

Lanvin Fashion Face-Off: Kim Kardashian vs. Zoe Saldana -- POLL

Making the media rounds in New York City last week, Kim Kardashian caused quite a stir in her not-quite-maternity clothes. On March 26, Kardashian hit the streets wearing a blush-colored honeycomb dress from Lanvin’s Resort 2013 collection, a look that prompted the New York Post to ask, “What the frock?”

Zoe Saldana was the first star to wear the designer piece, modeling it for photographers on the red carpet at the Trevor Project’s ‘Trevor Live’ event in Los Angeles last December.

Obviously, the dress looks very different on Kim — she had major curves long before she sprouted that baby bump — than it does on Zoe’s slender frame, so I think this decision comes down to the shoes. Kardashian paired her dress with a pair of nude Christian Louboutin stilletos, while Saldana went with Lanvin’s crystal toe-cap pumps.

'Revenge' Fashion Face-Off: Are Emily and Victoria wearing the same dress?

I watch Revenge for two reasons: 1) To see if there’ll be an Emily (Emily VanCamp) vs. Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) face-off, and 2) to see some amazing fashion. Last Sunday’s episode delivered on both counts.

Emily and Victoria wore strikingly similar dresses to the inaugural event for the Amanda Clarke Foundation. Coincidence or fashion conspiracy? Revenge‘s costume designer Jill Ohanneson explained… READ FULL STORY

Did Milla Jovovich steal Patti Smith's punk rock look? -- POLL

Most of the fashion-related chatter about Saturday night’s GLAAD Media Awards concerns Madonna’s Cub Scout uniform, but can we talk about Milla Jovovich for a minute?

Dressed in a white shirt and a skinny black tie with her dark bob hairstyle left untamed, Jovovich bore an uncanny resemblance to Patti Smith as she appeared on the album cover — shot by famed photographer Robert Mapplethorpe — of her 1975 debut, Horses.

Was Jovovich attempting to copy Smith’s punk rock style (if so, she should have left the Chanel purse at home) or was this just a sartorial coincidence? We may never know. Did she pull it off? You be the judge! Cast your vote in the poll below. READ FULL STORY

'Oz the Great and Powerful' Fashion Face-Off: Mila Kunis vs. Michelle Williams vs. Rachel Weisz

Last night Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz, who all play witches in Oz the Great and Powerful, followed the yellow brick road (carpet) to the Hollywood premiere of the movie at the El Capitan Theatre.

Kunis chose a sweet lace embroidered dress by Dolce & Gabbana, which she paired with silver Christian Louboutin peep-toes, and added a little edge to her look with a dark nail polish shade and dramatic African ruby and diamond drop earrings by Sutra.

Williams crystal embellished Prada dress looked innocent too… until she turned to reveal a waist-high side split that offered a peek at her black panties. Williams completed her ensemble with Prada t-strap sandals and a Kate Young for Target clutch.

Weisz oped for a bold color, wearing a gown from Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2013 collection (hiding underneath the hem of her garment was a pair of Jimmy Choos). She kept her accessories — a subtle Tiffany & Co. bracelet and Lanvin box clutch — makeup, and slicked back hairstyle simple.
