Gift of the Day: 'Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas'

Not sure what to get the pop culture geek in your life this holiday season? PopStyle is here to help! From the hottest gadgets to the oddest collectibles, we’re rounding up the best gifts in movies, music, TV, books, and more with our Gift of the Day.

They’ve become one of the most popular families on TV — A&E’s Duck Dynasty pulls in millions of TV viewers each week — now the Robertson family is burning up the music charts.

After debuting at #2 on Billboard’s list of best-selling holiday albums last month, Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas unseated Kelly Clarkson’s Wrapped in Red to land at #1, where it stayed for four weeks. Clarkson regained the top spot last week, but Duck the Halls is sitting pretty at #2 on the holiday charts, holds the same position on the country charts, and is currently #5 on the Billboard 200, just behind Britney Spears’ Britney Jean.

'Duck Dynasty' star makes modeling debut at New York Fashion Week

Look here, it’s Jep, Si and Willie Robertson at New York Fashion Week! Which begs the question: Why were the Duck Dynasty stars mingling with models backstage at the Evening by Sherri Hill fashion show?

Before the show, the aspiring model admitted to E! News that she was “a little nervous, but more excited than anything.”  READ FULL STORY

New crowdfunding campaign raising money for a 'Duck Dynasty' sneaker line

Where can you buy sneakers from the Duck Dynasty footwear collection? Forget Foot Locker! If you want to own shoes inspired by the A&E reality show, you’ll have to jump on the crowdfunding bandwagon.

Last week, upstart shoe company Spira Footwear launched a crowdfunding project for the Spira Duck Dynasty Camouflage shoe with WaveSpring technology, a sneaker that comes in six styles — three for men and three for women — and a variety of camo colors like “Mallard,” “Pretty Pink,” and “L’Orange.”

The line is part of a partnership between A&E and Rockethub called Project Startup, a crowdfunding platform that’s intended to highlight new brands and technologies. The first collection of limited-edition Duck Dynasty sneakers are available to both individual funders — who can purchase a single pair for $90 — and retailers — $10,000 buys 200 pairs in your choice of sizes and colors — but if you want to get in on the ground floor, you’d better act fast.  READ FULL STORY
