Celebrity perfumers Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber win big at the Fragrance Foundation Awards

Often referred to as the “Oscars of the fragrance industry,” the 2013 Fragrance Foundation Awards attracted a slew of stars to Alice Tully Hall in New York City last night.

Taylor Swift walked away with the Fragrance Celebrity of the Year award — bestowed upon “a celebrity who has uplifted the world of fragrance”–  for her Wonderstruck, Wonderstruck Enchanted, and Taylor by Taylor Swift scents.

Robert Pattinson named new face of Dior men's fragrance, Kanye West's fashion regrets, and more

Twilight star Robert Pattinson has been named the new face of the Dior Homme fragrance for men. [USA Today]

Rooney Mara named the face of Calvin Klein's new fragrance

Rooney Mara has landed her first major beauty campaign.

The actress has been named the face of Calvin Klein’s new fragrance Downtown. Mara celebrated the announcement last night in Cannes, where she was honored at Calvin Klein and the Independent Filmmaker Project’s women in film event.

Mara will reunite with Girl with the Dragon Tattoo director David Fincher to film a television ad for the fragrance that will air this summer. According to a press release from Calvin Klein, the black and white short film tells the “story of a young woman living in her own world, breaking away from the expected. Set in New York City, the short film portrays the multi-faceted life of a globally recognizable actress who always remains true to herself.”

'Naked' Madonna recreates 'Sex' book image for perfume ad, a sneak peek at 'The Hobbit' plane and more

Twenty years after Madonna released her coffee table book ‘Sex’ the 54-year-old pop star flashes back to a pose from the controversial tome for her new perfume campaign Truth or Dare: Naked (and she barely seems to have aged). [Daily Mail UK]

The Hobbit fanatics will be able to view the Air New Zealand Boeing 777-300ER aircraft that has been turned into a giant billboard for the upcoming movie,  An Unexpected Journey, when the plane flies Los Angeles on Saturday. [L.A. Times]
