Beauty Geek: Makeup tips from a living anime doll — VIDEO

You’ve heard of The Real Life Barbie, now meet her BFF, the real-life Japanese anime character.

Astasiya Shpagina is a 19-year-old Ukrainian woman whose larger-than-life doe eyes make her look like she literally walked out of a Sailor Moon episode. This week, Shpagina posted pictures of herself on Facebook with Valeria Lukyanova, the 21-year-old Ukrainian model who made headlines for undergoing cosmetic surgery to look like a Barbie doll.

In the video above, Shpagina, who reportedly goes by the anime name Fukkacumi, offers fans of anime cosplay a tutorial on creating her glassy, doll-eye makeup, which takes up to an hour to apply.

If you have that kind of bathroom time — or just want to see how the heck she pulls it off — watch Shapagina’s “Flower Fairy” above and see the painstaking process condensed into a fascinating 6-minute YouTube video.
