See the 'Dancing with the Stars' make-up line

Is there a celebrity, film, or TV show that isn’t tied to a fashion or beauty brand these days? On the heels of yesterday’s announcement that Snooki, Valerie Harper, Elizabeth Berkley, and Amber Riley are among the new season’s contestants came news that the Dancing with the Stars make-up collection has arrived.

The Stila + Dancing with the Stars line includes “Live. Love. Dance” make-up palettes in shade combos like Samba (pastels), Tango (metallic bronzes), Freestyle (smokey greys), and Cha-Cha (shimmery hues). Each set includes a blush, seven eye shadow colors, a beauty balm, an eye liner, and a lipstick. According to the brand, the collaboration is a natural fit because Stila products are used by the Dancing with the Stars make-up team.

'Pretty Little Liars' star Lucy Hale scores a new job

With the debut of tonight’s summer premiere episode of Pretty Little Liars comes news that Lucy Hale has scored a second job.

As part of her role, the actress will appear in the cosmetic company’s “magalogs” and various digital platforms. She will also take an active role in the brand’s m.powerment campaign, which focuses on “breaking the cycle of dating abuse and partner violence against young women.”

Hale admits she began dabbling in makeup at a young age. Click on to see the Pretty Little Liars talk about her earliest experiments with makeup in a behind-the-scenes video from mark.

Beauty Geek: How to create 'Doctor Who' nail art

When Katy Perry performed at the annual Night of Too Many Stars benefit (airing tonight at 8pm EST on Comedy Central), she sported a Halloween-themed manicure with images of candy corn, ghosts and spiders. The pop star’s nail art was spooky-cute (see it here), but us Beauty Geeks are more into the kind of mani that will scare the pants off of people. So we called on nail artist Kayleigh O’Connor to come up with a bone-chilling look especially for EW.

Beauty Geek: Makeup tips from a living anime doll — VIDEO

You’ve heard of The Real Life Barbie, now meet her BFF, the real-life Japanese anime character.

Astasiya Shpagina is a 19-year-old Ukrainian woman whose larger-than-life doe eyes make her look like she literally walked out of a Sailor Moon episode. This week, Shpagina posted pictures of herself on Facebook with Valeria Lukyanova, the 21-year-old Ukrainian model who made headlines for undergoing cosmetic surgery to look like a Barbie doll.

In the video above, Shpagina, who reportedly goes by the anime name Fukkacumi, offers fans of anime cosplay a tutorial on creating her glassy, doll-eye makeup, which takes up to an hour to apply.

If you have that kind of bathroom time — or just want to see how the heck she pulls it off — watch Shapagina’s “Flower Fairy” above and see the painstaking process condensed into a fascinating 6-minute YouTube video.
