I have mixed feelings about NBC’s plans to revive Murder, She Wrote.

On one hand, I am a big fan of Octavia Spencer, who has been cast in the lead role. On the other, I am a huge Fletcher fan, so even though the new series will only be loosely based on the original, I don’t like the idea of someone messing with perfection. (Apparently, neither does Angela Lansbury.) READ FULL STORY

'Pretty Little Liars' costume designer announces clothing line -- EXCLUSIVE

Good news for fans of the fashion on Pretty Little Liars — a clothing line inspired by the teen drama is coming soon.

PLL costume designer Mandi Line played a big role in designing the line, which was developed in partnership with Warner Brothers and apparel brand Aéropostale. “It’s been a dream come true. It’s become such a passion project on both sides. All of us have become like family within the last three or four months,” Line told EW of the collaboration. “I’m so protective of the show and the fans, but the more I work with them, the more I see that they’re really open to everything I’m saying.”

Line wouldn’t share specifics, but the costume designer did reveal that the line will consist of items inspired by each character’s individual style, with pieces priced between $18 and $72. “Aéropostale is very savvy. Their main thing is to combine quality with the right price point,” Line explained. “I really wanted to work with a retailer whose price points were [reasonable]. I wanted kids and parents to be able to afford [the clothes].”

The Pretty Little Liars Collection by Aéropostale will be available nationwide exclusively at the brand’s retail stores and on its website as of January 5 — just in time for the show’s winter premiere two days later on January 7. READ FULL STORY

Mandy Patinkin shaved his beard

In a tragic turn of events for fans of serious facial hair, Homeland star Mandy Patinkin has shaved the perfect salt-and-pepper beard that turned his character Saul Berenson into a beacon of sanity and eerily sexy wisdom. Patinkin appeared on LIVE with Kelly and Michael to show off his cleanshaven mug. “I felt like I was taking off a Mickey Mouse mask,” said Patinkin, clearly not realizing that his beard was the only thing saving Homeland and indeed all of reality from spinning off into darkness and chaos. 'Project Runway All Stars': Marge Simpson gets a fashion makeover -- VIDEO

For more than 20 years Marge Simpson has worn the same outfit — strapless green dress, red pearls, and matching flats — but the animated housewife is getting all dolled up on tonight’s Project Runway All Stars.

The seven remaining contestants on the fashion reality series are tasked with creating a new frock for Marge to wear for a night out on the town with her longtime love Homer. The big reveal will happen on tonight’s All Stars and the winning design will also appear on a future episode of The Simpsons.

“Normally I have one simple fashion philosophy. Find a dress that looks good on you and wear it every day for the rest of your life,” Marge jokes before instructing the designers to create a frock in any color but green. “Also, there might be some snuggling after dinner, so Homer requests that the dress be easy enough to remove after he’s had several glasses of wine and a secret six pack of beer.”

Marge will be joined by special guests Abigail Breslin, Anthony Ryan (All Stars season 2 winner), and Alice+Olivia designer Stacey Bendet. In honor of the occasion, host Alyssa Milano, mentor Zanna Roberts Rassi, and judges Georgina Chapman and Isaac Mizrahi got the cartoon treatment. (See the photo above.)

See how the contestants react to the challenge in the teaser video after the jump.

In the past, not everyone has been thrilled to be the recipient of one of my “as seen on TV” Christmas gifts. (My dad was less than appreciative the year I put a can of spray-on hair in his stocking.) But the ABC reality pitch show Shark Tank has taken “as seen on TV” products to a whole new level.

Case in point — the DoorBot, a WiFi-enabled doorbell that lets you to stream live video of who’s at your front door and talk to them in real time via a smartphone app. And you don’t even have to be at home to do it.   READ FULL STORY

'Bonnie and Clyde': Costume details and the stylish clothing line

It wasn’t just the story of the his-and-hers killing spree that brought attention to the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde. The look of both characters — Bonnie (Faye Dunaway) in her beret, tight sweater and pencil skirt and Clyde (Warren Beatty) in his chalk-stripe suit — earned costume designer Theadora Van Runkle an Oscar nomination and inspired a ’30s throwback fashion trend.

Next month, Bonnie and Clyde get the Lifetime treatment in a two-night miniseries starring Emile Hirsch and Holliday Grainger. Legendary wardrobe designer Marilyn Vance (The Untouchables, Pretty Woman, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Pretty in Pink) created more than 100 costumes for the title pair in the small screen retelling, and now online boutique Rue La La has unveiled a collection of clothes, shoes, and accessories inspired by the stylish Depression-era outlaws.

Watch an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Bonne and Clyde wardrobe closet guided by Vance herself and get a first look at some of the pieces in Rue La La’s Bonnie and Clyde clothing line after the jump.
