'SNL' shops at H&M: Ever want to see John Goodman in skinny jeans? -- VIDEO

You know how everything at H&M seems to be under $10 and always ends up on the store’s floor? So does Saturday Night Live.

In a Jay Pharoah music video, featuring a verse from rapper Wale, the show lampoons H&M’s over-the-top style sense, fragile construction, and tiny sizing (that last part was perfectly displayed by host John Goodman trying to squeeze into a pair of jeggings).

Five fashion moments from Beyonce's new album

Considering that she debuted the first single in an ad campaign for H&M, it’s no surprise that the 17 videos released along with Beyoncé’s new self-titled “visual album” are chock-full of fashion.

Since the album dropped (without warning) this morning, my inbox has been filling up with emails from fashion and beauty publicists who spotted their brand’s clothes, jewelry, bathing suits, vintage tights, and even glow-in-the-dark nail polish.

Rihanna's makeup collection is selling out fast

Rihanna’s RiRi Hearts MAC holiday makeup collection arrived less than a week ago, but more than a few of the items have already sold out.

Among the new products that flew off shelves are nail polish in Rihanna’s signature red RiRi Woo, both liquid liner colors — “Pisces Persuasion” and “Cockiness” — and all three holiday lipstick shades — “Pleasure Bomb,” “Bad Girl RiRi,” and “RiRi Woo.” Still available: the “Phresh Out” and “2X Dare” eye shadow palettes, “Love, Rihanna” bronzing powder, and a pink quilted makeup bag.

The RiRi Hearts MAC holiday collection is Rihanna’s final makeup line for the beauty brand, but she’ll continue on as the face of MAC’s Viva Glam campaign.

'The Sound of Music': Gilt selling a few of Carrie Underwood's favorite things

Massages and blow-outs and Nutcracker passes, fitness bootcamp to tone glutes in three classes, strappy high heels that make your feet look like they’re tied up in string — these are a few of Carrie Underwood’s favorite things.

In honor of the live production of The Sound of Music LIVE, airing this Thursday at 8pm EST on NBC, Underwood — who plays mischievous musical governess Maria — is serving as guest curator for luxury online retail sites Gilt and Gilt City, offering fashion deals and discounts at her favorite places to eat, exercise, and relax.

The Gilt sale features some of Underwood’s favorite fashion labels, entertainment events, restaurants, and beauty spots in cities around the country.  READ FULL STORY

Lady Gaga does Donatella, wears same Versace dress twice

Considering that she’s worn a frock made of meat and dressed like an extraterrestrial chicken, the sight of Lady Gaga in her latest guise as the face of Versace is truly shocking.

In the first ads for the new fashion campaign, Gaga works stick straight platinum blonde hair and minimal makeup (and maybe a little self tanner?) as she models two understated — for Gaga and for Versace — looks from the Lady Gaga for Versace collection. In fact, one is the same lavender dress Gaga wore to the American Music Awards last Sunday, albeit without the white stallion.

Gaga bears a striking resemblance to Donatella Versace, the matriarch of the Italian fashion label.

Justin Bieber has 'The Key' to a lot of ladies' rooms in new perfume film -- VIDEO

Before we delve into the new short film made to promote Justin Bieber’s latest fragrance, a few questions: Do you put on perfume before you nap? Do you wish your favorite pop star would slip into your room without permission? Are you impressed with pastry juggling? If you answered yes to any of these questions, The Key was made for you.

The artsy short film, directed by Peter Glanz, is all about Bieber’s new perfume, aptly title The Key. In the three-minute-plus clip, multiple models drift off to sleep only to dream that Bieber has creeped into their hotel rooms to fulfill their every fantasy — most of which involve running around cosmopolitan cities hand-in-hand or being fed macarons.

In a final twist (perfume ad spoiler alert!), it was actually the Biebs dreaming up these international dalliances. Let’s be honest: That makes a lot more sense than these Victoria’s Secret models wishing for nothing more than a Bieber B&E.

Barneys cancels party for Jay-Z's holiday collection

Amid continuing controversy over the alleged use of racial profiling by luxury department store Barneys New York, a kick-off party to celebrate the retailer’s collaboration with Jay-Z planned for Wednesday has been called off, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

A brief statement issued by Barneys read simply, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the event has been cancelled.”

Last month, fans called for Jay-Z to sever ties with Barneys after two separate racial discrimination lawsuits were brought against the store. A petition launched on Change.org urged the music mogul to withdraw from the BNY SCC Gallery and Collection partnership — a deal that included a fashion collection with items ranging from a $70 T-shirt to a $33,900 watch, and an immersive gallery space at the retailer’s New York City flagship. She’s not your candy girl anymore.

Katy Perry has hung up her cupcake bra, and in a behind-the-scenes video from her EW cover shoot, the pop star explains how the goth and grunge-tinged movies and music of the 1990s influenced the latest phase in her style evolution.

“It’s kind of a medley, but I think it’s really based around the ’90s, which I’m living for the first time,” the pop star explains. “I wasn’t really getting to experience the ’90s when they were going on the first time because I came from a very sheltered household that didn’t have a whole lot of pop culture influence.”  READ FULL STORY
