This year, Brangelina got into the winemaking business with the release of Jolie-Pitt & Perrin Côtes de Provence Rosé Miraval 2012, made from grapes grown on their estate in Southern France. The bottling ranked No.84 overall on Wine Spectator‘s Top 100 list of the best wines of the year, taking the top spot among rosés.
Considering the fact that I gave Duck Commander’s Triple Threat Red Blend — brought to you by the Robertson family of Duck Dynasty fame — the thumbs up because it’s “drinkable,” I’ll borrow Wine Spectator editor Kim Marcus’ description of the Jolie-Pitt rosé.
“Refined and elegant, offering pure and concentrated flavors of dried red berry, tangerine and melon. The focused finish features flint and spice notes, with a hint of cream.”
