Move over Rachel Zoe! Premiering tonight on WeTV is House of Curves, a new reality series that follows designer Kenyatta Jones as she builds her plus-size clothing label and battles fashion stereotypes.

“This show is going to shine a light on what it’s like to be a plus-size woman in [everyday] life, but also what it’s like to be a plus-size woman in the fashion industry, which is all about skinny people,” Jones told EW. “[Designers] definitely don’t want to see fat people naked, so why are they not giving us clothes?”

The show follows Jones’ efforts to expand her Atlanta-based Bella Rene clothing label with the help of her two best friends and her mother, who also happens to be the company’s biggest investor. “Working with my mom, she completely forgets that it’s supposed to be a business atmosphere and we go at it [sometimes],” said Jones of the family conflict that was captured by the cameras. “You’ll see me cursing everyone out. You’ll see my mom cursing everyone out. We didn’t hold anything back with this show and WEtv was wonderful in allowing me to be me.”

Though sizeism in the fashion industry is nothing new, Jones said that the conversation has changed, pointing out the recent backlash against Abercrombie CEO Mike Jeffries’ admission that his company was “exclusionary” of people who “didn’t belong” in Abercrombie’s clothes. “Even if that’s how you feel, why would you come out and say that publicly?” Jones said. “You have to stop bullying before you tell anybody else not to bully.”

Jones is also concerned about the example set by Hollywood stars who try to fit the mold.

“Oprah Winfrey is an attractive woman, but all of us watched her battle with weight issues for 20 years. The plus size community didn’t have anyone that came out and said, ‘I’m plus size, I’m beautiful, and I love being this way,’” she said. “It’s like, you win an Oscar [like Jennifer Hudson] and then Weight Watchers comes along and they pay [you] millions of dollars to lose weight. Not every plus size woman is unhealthy. I actually go to the gym at least three times a week and I walk around in 6-inch heels every day. If that’s not exercise, I don’t know what the hell it is!”

Jones hopes the six-episode series will make her “a martyr for the equality of all women having equal rights to fashion and style.” Scroll down to watch a sneak peek of House of Curves, premiering tonight at 10 pm EST on WeTV.
