Rocha has been sharing her ability to channel different characters with a team of aspiring models on Oxygen’s new fashion reality show The Face. On the show’s debut episode, the model told contestants to channel West Side Story and Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” music video for a photo shoot challenge that saw them playing rivals from opposite sides of town.
The model, who has a background in dance and started her career doing catalogue work in Asia, is known for her posing skills. “[In Asia] it’s like modeling 101, you learn how to do a 75-page catalogue in one day and you just pose non-stop. When I came to America, I thought, ‘This is how you model!’ People would be looking at me like, ‘This girl is theatrical, she just constantly poses.’ Since then, people have continued to say keep doing what you’re doing because that’s your thing,” Rocha said. “So that’s what I try to do with my girls [on The Face]. I don’t want to push them to play someone else, but I do want them to understand how they have to change it up once in a while.”
