MObama’s Bangs

Mrs. O turned heads at the inaugural festivities on January 21 in a navy-silk, checkered-patterned coat and dress by Thom Browne. The outfit, from the 2012 recipient of the National Design Award in Fashion Design, was specifically designed for the First Lady, but like most of the designers she wore this weekend, Browne said he wasn’t 100% sure that she was going to wear the outfit until he saw her wearing it. To accessorize, FLOTUS wore J.Crew heels for a religious service in the morning, and remixed the look for the official ceremony with the addition of gloves and a jeweled belt by the retailer and Reed Krakoff boots.

Along with her designer gear, the first lady sported her new headline making bangs, which the President joked were “the most significant event of the weekend,” according to USA Today “I love her bangs,” he said of the cut the FLOTUS debuted on her new Twitter page, January 17, her birthday.
