Among the musical tributes was a salute to Donna Summer performed by Lambert, Kelly Rowland and Keri Hilson. “We definitely wanted to highlight not just the music… but also to the fashion [of the era],” says Divas costume designer Heather Zweigel, who created the costumes worn by backup dancers in the Summer number and additional looks for the segment honoring Whitney Houston. ”Adam can 100% keep up with the other Divas. He’s avant-garde, so it was a perfect combination for the Donna Summer performance.”
